Area of work

Implementation of general development tasks in the region in accordance with the articles 18 and 19 of the Promotion of Balanced Regional Development Act (ZSRR-2), OJ RS № 20/11, Act Amending the Promotion of Balanced Regional Development Act 57/2012, Rules on Regional Development Agencies (OJ RS № 3/2013, 59/2015), and Ordinance on the Establishment of the Public Institute Regional Development Agency Posavje (OJ RS, № 95/2014).

In accordance with the Ordinance on the Establishment:

(1) Regional Development Agency Posavje implements the following tasks related to the promotion of balanced regional development, which carried out in the public interest:

preparation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the regional development programme and regional projects in the region;
preparation of agreements for the development of the region;
implementation of regional projects and cooperation in carrying out the procedures of public tender, public procurement and public–private partnership within these projects;
participation and support in the operation of the Council, regional council, regional development network and area development partnership;
notification, general counselling, inventory of project ideas and guidance of development partners in the region in designing, applying for a tender and implementing regional projects;
transfer of knowledge and good practices of regional development; and
assistance in the implementation of the regional financial schemes.

(2) In the region, RRA Posavje carries out the following development tasks of the State which are carried out in the public interest and are in accordance with the Promotion of Balanced

Regional Development Act:

the implementation of the regional financial schemes;
the implementation of the regional company scholarship schemes,
the activities of the management of local action groups under community-led local development co-funded by European funds;
the promotion of the region and the encouragement of investments therein, and other similar regional activities, schemes and projects as decided by the competent ministry.

The tasks are carried out in two forms of project work, namely:

The tasks are carried out by the RDA Posavje employees by implementing daily work activities, participating in the working bodies of the competent ministries and other state authorities, participating in coordination groups consisting of the employees of the municipal administrations, participating in the local development structures and project partnerships established with companies and other organisations.
Part of tasks carried out in the public interest is carried out through individual projects in the public interest, which are managed by the RDA Posavje employees.

Tasks and projects in the public interest are carried out in the framework of two internal organisation units:

Department for Regional Development, and
Department for Project Cooperation.
